The story of The Diamond Shoppe extends over half a century. A family owned business with over 50 years’ experience in the diamond industry in South Africa, the business was founded by Stanley Cross. A diamond cutter and polisher himself who dedicated his life to the diamond industry and passed on his knowledge to his son Marten Cross.

The Factory
Stanley’s entrepreneurial skill and expertise allowed him to break away from working in a commercial factory to start his own diamond cutting business. A continued investment in his craft and a strategic introduction of new technology allowed him to increase both polishing accuracy and production efficiency, which in turn expanded his presence in the local diamond industry.
