Terms and Conditions

  1. Liability for Items After Possession
    Once clients take possession of their items after leaving the store, The Diamond Shoppe cannot be held liable for any damage to or loss of items from settings. We strongly recommend yearly servicing of your jewelry to maintain its condition and to help prevent potential loss.
  2. Detailed Description of Goods and Services
    The Diamond Shoppe specializes in the diamond and jewelry industry, offering high-quality diamonds, jewelry, and a selection of precious and semi-precious gemstones.
  3. Delivery Policy
    Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 21 days. Delivery will be confirmed via secure courier at an additional cost of R400 – R600 for items valued at R150,000 and under. For orders over R150,000, a separate charge will be confirmed directly with the client prior to shipping.
  4. Returns and Refunds Policy

    30-Day Return Policy

    At The Diamond Shoppe, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases, provided the item is returned in mint, unworn condition with all original packaging, documentation, and certificates.

    • Refunds will be processed less any applicable banking or credit card transaction fees, which may range between 0.5% and 5%, depending on the payment method used.
    • Returns must be initiated within 30 calendar days from the date of delivery or collection.
    • Returned items will be inspected upon receipt to ensure they meet our return conditions.

    Custom-made, personalized, or specially modified items may not qualify for a full refund. These items are crafted to client specifications and may not be resalable as standard inventory. Where resale is possible, we may offer a partial refund based on the resale value determined at our discretion.

    After 30 days, returns will be considered under our second-hand buyback policy:

     

    • Items will be evaluated based on current second-hand trade market prices and prevailing exchange rates.
    • The Diamond Shoppe reserves the right to refuse any return if the item is damaged, significantly worn, or unsuited for resale due to market conditions or design factors.

    3-Month Craftsmanship Warranty

    We offer a 3-month limited warranty covering the craftsmanship of our jewellery. This includes:

     

    • Manufacturing faults
    • The loss of small accent diamonds due to setting issues, provided the ring has not been damaged or altered

     

    This warranty does not cover:

    • Damage caused by the customer, including accidental impact, misuse, or third-party modifications or resizing
    • The loss of any centre stones or larger diamonds
    • General wear and tear resulting from everyday use

     

    We strongly encourage clients to insure their rings — especially those with centre stones — through a private insurance provider. This ensures coverage for loss or damage not included under our standard warranty.

    Return & Warranty Process

    To initiate a return or warranty claim, please contact us in writing with your original proof of purchase.

  5. Customer Privacy Policy

  6. Payment Options Accepted
    Payments can be made using Visa, MasterCard, Diners, Union Pay, American Express, or by bank transfer. Bank account details will be provided upon request.
  7. Card Acquiring and Security
    All transactions will be processed through PayGate (Pty) Ltd, the approved payment gateway for South African banks. PayGate utilizes Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure the safety of your transaction, and no card details are stored on our website. For more information, visit PayGate.
  8. Customer Details Separation

  9. Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
    The merchant outlet country is South Africa, and the transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
  10. Responsibility
    The Diamond Shoppe assumes full responsibility for all aspects of the transaction, including the sale of goods and services, customer service, dispute resolution, and delivery. If a customer dispute is resolved in favor of The Diamond Shoppe, the client will be liable for all associated legal expenses.
  11. Country of Domicile
    This website is governed by the laws of South Africa. The Diamond Shoppe designates its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, including court processes, notices, and communications.
  12. Variation
    The Diamond Shoppe reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
