The story of The Diamond Shoppe extends over half a century. A family owned business with over 50 years’ experience in the diamond industry in South Africa, the business was founded by Stanley Cross. A diamond cutter and polisher himself.

Stanley’s entrepreneurial skill and expertise allowed him to break away from working in a commercial factory to start his own diamond cutting business. A continued investment in his craft and a strategic introduction of new technology allowed him to increase both polishing accuracy and production efficiency, which in turn expanded his presence in the local diamond industry.

From owning a diamond mine where he was able to both source and cut rough stones simultaneously to opening a high-end diamond retail showroom in Cape Town, Stanley’s talent and business spirit have been ever present. Over the years he has passed down this immensely valuable knowledge and skill to his sons, now full time members of the business and actively taking part in paving the path to creating a bright future for the company on both a local and international level.
